Swiatek cruises into the Indian Wells quarterfinals
Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek cruised into the quarterfinals of the 2026 BNP Paribas Open after defeating Czech Karolina Muchova 6-2, 6-0 in 77 minutes in the fourth round at Indian Wells on Thursday, Western Indonesian Time.

Second seed Swiatek played brilliantly to win five of her six matches against 13th seed Muchova, who recently won the WTA 1000 Doha title.

"Yeah, of course, I feel great. I feel like my game is getting better and better. It's amazing," Swiatek said after the match.

"She's my favorite WTA player to watch, so it's really fun to play against her as well."

"Basically, he's probably the only player I watch, so maybe that's why I also get a feel for how he plays," said the world No. 2.

Swiatek thus ended Muchova's eight-match winning streak -- the longest winning streak among active players on the WTA Tour.

Swiatek did not face a break point, while breaking Muchova's serve five times.

"I always want to be proactive with my forehand , because that's what gives me points," Swiatek said.
