Samsung promises that the performance of the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ phones will be as competitive as the Galaxy S26 Ultra even though they use different chips .
The Galaxy S26 and S26+ use Samsung's Exynos 2600 chip , while the Galaxy S26 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
According to MX Product Marketing Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia Ilham Indrawan in Jakarta, Monday, the Exynos 2600 chip is built on a 2 nm chip architecture which is smaller in size than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a 3 nm chip architecture.
" This chipset can even match the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That's both in single-core and even multi-core aspects ," he said.
"In some scenarios, it's even better. Especially in generating AI . Generating AI is also very capable," he added.
Smaller chip sizes mean denser transistor components and this correlates with increased performance and power efficiency.
