The Selection Committee for Recruitment of Candidate Members of the Central Information Commission (KIP) for the 2026–2030 period is inviting the public to provide input regarding the track records of 63 selection participants who passed the paper writing selection stage.
"We invite the public to actively participate by providing input regarding the track records of the participants," said Fifi Aleyda Yahya, Chair of the Selection Committee for Recruitment of Prospective KIP Members for the 2026–2030 period.
"Public participation is crucial as part of efforts to ensure that the Central Information Commission is staffed by individuals with integrity, competence, and a commitment to public information transparency," Fifi said in a press statement in Jakarta on Monday.
The Selection Committee stated that public input is one of the assessment components in the KIP member recruitment process in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure.
All input from the public will be taken into consideration in assessing the eligibility and track record of KIP member selection participants before moving on to the next selection stage.
The public can submit input accompanied by supporting documents to the email address panselkip@komdigi.go.id no later than March 6, 2026.
"We guarantee the confidentiality of all input received. Transparency and accountability are key principles in this selection process, including opening up space for broad public participation," said Fifi.
The Selection Committee stated that all stages of the KIP member selection process were carried out transparently, objectively, and professionally to produce commissioners capable of strengthening the governance of public information transparency in Indonesia.
