The Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued a statement about being targeted in Jerusalem near the Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard denied any connection to the targeting of the Jewish Quarter in Jerusalem adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, pointing to Israeli-American plots aimed at demolishing the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued a statement about being targeted in Jerusalem near the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The statement read: "The Iranian Revolutionary Guard categorically denies any Iranian targeting of the Jewish Quarter in Jerusalem adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Any Israeli-American plots aimed at demolishing the Al-Aqsa Mosque are exposed and we are monitoring them closely."

Earlier today, an RT correspondent reported that rocket fragments fell in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem, flying near the Mughrabi Gate, amid extensive searches being conducted by the Israeli police at the scene.

Israeli police said in a statement: "Our forces, including explosives experts and border guards, are now conducting extensive searches for intercepted shrapnel in the Jerusalem area."

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that a person was injured as a result of rocket fragments falling in the Old City of Jerusalem.

It is noted that for the first time since the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967, the Israeli authorities completely closed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the day of Eid al-Fitr, and prevented the holding of Eid prayers in its courtyards under the pretext of "security considerations" related to the war.
