Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid emphasized the importance of regulating the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in the education sector so that children in Indonesia can utilize technology appropriately according to their readiness.
According to him, this regulation is a government step to ensure that the development of digital technology and AI truly benefits education.
"Every technological advancement must consider the readiness of its users, especially children. The Wait for Children to Be Ready principle, which we have been promoting in the child protection policy in the digital space , can also be seen in the use of AI in education," Meutya said in a statement confirmed .
