Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir responded to a kickboxing athlete with the initials VAP who revealed allegations of sexual violence committed by his trainer through a post on social media.
"Anyone proven to have abused power or exploited power relations to commit violence, including sexual violence, must be banned from the world of sports for life," said Erick Thohir in an official statement .
A new case of alleged sexual assault has emerged, following previous allegations against several rock climbers. This time, the alleged sexual assault was revealed by a 24-year-old female athlete with the initials VAP on Instagram.
