Trump: The United States can end its operation against Iran immediately and now

US President Donald Trump said his country could halt its operations against Iran for the time being, but that might allow Tehran to rebuild and re-equip its forces.

This was reported by journalist Stephanie Rule of MSNOW following an interview with President Trump.

The journalist said: "Trump stated that he could end the war now. He could withdraw. But he said that Iran would recover afterwards. It might take about 10 years, but this situation is unacceptable, so Trump believes he must continue."

On February 28, the United States and Israel began bombing targets in Iran, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran retaliated by launching attacks on Israeli territory, as well as on U.S. military targets in the Middle East.

Washington and Tel Aviv justified the military operation as a preemptive strike to avert alleged threats from Tehran over its nuclear program. However, they later made no secret of their desire for regime change in Iran.
