The Philadelphia 76ers will be without their All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey for at least three weeks in the 2025-2026 NBA regular season after suffering a tendon injury in his right pinky finger.
that Maxey suffered the injury during a game against the Atlanta Hawks the previous week.
The incident occurred when Maxey collided with teammate Adem Bona with 16 seconds remaining in the game. The game ended in a 116-126 loss for the Philadelphia 76ers to the Hawks.
X-rays and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tests that Maxey underwent showed no fractures in his hand.
However, the medical team discovered a tendon injury to his little finger which would keep him out for at least three weeks.
