Mohammad Zaki "Ubed" Ubaidillah evaluated his less than optimal stamina after being defeated by Chinese men's singles player Li Shi Feng with 22-24, 21-16, 16-21 in the first round of the 2026 Swiss Open at St. Jakobshalle.
"Li Shi Feng was better prepared and more resilient in the final points. This is a lesson and an evaluation for me to be more resilient and focused," Ubed said in a PBSI statement.
The match was Ubed's first meeting with the world's seventh-ranked athlete.
Ubed admitted that his condition was not optimal because he was uncomfortable with cramps in his calves and thighs, which hampered his movement, especially when entering the third game
