In his latest Instagram post, he pointed out that the current healthcare system isn't broken, but rather functioning as designed, though often against human nature: "Your food is designed to be addictive, and your environment is full of toxins that disrupt your biological functions." He added that chronic diseases have become "the norm."

To address this reality, Hyman proposed five basic and simple steps:

Eat real food, free from artificial processing.

Move your body regularly.

Give sleep top priority.

Drink enough water daily.
