In a statement via the X platform, the organization's French branch criticized what is known as the "Yaden Law," considering that it could lead to "criminalizing support for Palestinians."
The statement indicated that French MP Caroline Yaden intends to present the bill to the National Assembly on April 16, warning that the bill could open the door to very serious abuses.
The bill, which Yadan submitted to the Assembly in November 2024, stipulates penalties for denying the existence of the State of Israel or comparing it to the Nazi regime.
Parliament will discuss the bill, entitled "Combating New Forms of Anti-Semitism," starting on April 16.
Supporters of the Palestinian cause and left-wing members of parliament oppose the bill, arguing that it could be used to punish anti-Zionism and criticism of Israel under the guise of combating anti-Semitism.
The number of signatures on a petition published on the parliament's website against the bill has exceeded 500,000, and an anti-bill demonstration was held in Paris yesterday.
