Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria stated that artificial intelligence (AI) technology can be utilized to optimize the development of sustainable agricultural businesses.
"Adopting the latest technology, in this case artificial intelligence , is critical and strategic for supporting agricultural growth in Indonesia and maintaining its sustainability," Nezar said in a ministry press statement confirmed on Sunday.
According to him, AI technology can be used to help regulate seed planting, detect plant pests and diseases, maximize land productivity, and automate plant maintenance.
Furthermore, he continued, AI technology can be used to improve agricultural product distribution systems and conduct predictive analysis on food availability.
