Indonesian racer who strengthens the Astra Honda Racing Team Herjun Atna Firdaus achieved a podium at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, after taking third place in the first race of the Supersport 600 (SS600) Asia Road Racing Championship.
Quoted from the AHRT press release, Herjun appeared consistent in maintaining the rhythm of his position in the first group competing with six other racers.
Entering the final two laps, he was involved in a tight competition for the podium and paid off by finishing in third place.
"I'm happy to have achieved a third-place finish. Tomorrow we'll try to improve some of our results. This is a good result for the start of the 2026 racing season and a very important starting point," said Herjun after the race.
Herjun himself started from fourth position in the race, while his teammate Fadillah Arbi Aditama was in 10th starting position.
However, Fadilah Arbi closed the race in sixth place, a pretty good record considering it was his debut in the SS600 class.
