Detroit Pistons lock up the top seed in the Eastern Conference

 

  The Detroit Pistons secured their top spot in the Eastern Conference after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 116-93 in a follow-up match in Philadelphia .

Quoting the NBA page, the Pistons, who recorded 56 wins and 21 losses (56-21), achieved this achievement for the first time since the 2006-2007 season, while also securing the Central Division title for the first time since 2007-2008.

Tobias Harris led the Pistons with 19 points, while Daniss Jenkins impressed with 16 points and 14 assists in the win.

Jalen Duren also contributed 16 points and seven rebounds, and Ausar Thompson added 14 points to help Detroit dominate.

This victory extends the Pistons' positive trend, which has managed to win 12 of the last 15 games.

Despite initial doubts about their ability to play due to health conditions, Duren (illness) and Harris (left knee contusion) still played and made significant contributions to the team.
