The success of the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) All-Star tournament at the Bandung Arena in Bandung City, West Java, has prompted league officials to open up opportunities for collaboration with city governments other than Bandung and Jakarta.
IBL President Director Junas Miradiarsyah said that the All-Star concept will be developed into a series of integrated activities that will involve the host city as a whole, from a sports, tourism, and community perspective.
"We are very open to other cities hosting the IBL All-Star," said Junas.
He explained that the IBL All-Star is not just a one-day match, but a collaborative platform to bring the city to life through sports, culture, and community participation.
This is important to develop sports tourism , while creating broader and more sustainable economic and social impacts.
