The operator of the Elite Pro Academy (EPA) Super League 2025/2026 competition, I.League, strongly condemns the unsportsmanlike incident that occurred in the EPA Super League U-20 match between Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC U-20 and Dewa United Banten FC U-20 on Sunday at Citarum Stadium, Semarang.
This incident involved several players, including Bhayangkara player who is a member of the Indonesian U-20 national team, Fadly Alberto, who performed a "kung fu kick" on an opposing player.
"It's truly unfortunate that an incident like this occurred in the Elite Pro Academy competition, which is a vital pillar and foundation for the future of Indonesian football. It is hoped that this competition will produce the seeds of future Indonesian national team players," said I.League President Director Ferry Paulus in an official statement.
Ferry also emphasized that the aspect of character development is the main objective of the competition, including instilling the value of fair play in all elements of the match.
