The Indonesian Thomas Cup team is fully prepared for their opening Group D match of the 2026 Thomas Cup, but remains vigilant when they face Algeria at the Horsens Forum, Denmark.
Team captain Fajar Alfian confirmed that the Red and White squad is in optimal condition after undergoing a series of preparations, including two field trips.
"We are in good condition and ready to play in tomorrow's match against Algeria," Fajar said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) after a training session.
Although Indonesia is favored in terms of quality, Fajar emphasized that the team does not want to be careless, considering that the opening match often brings its own pressure.
"We are indeed the favorites, but we can't take our opponents lightly. The first match will definitely be tough and very important," he said.
