Head of Media and Public Relations for the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), Tirto Prima Putra, revealed that KONI is currently focusing on improving the quality of sports news publications.
Tirto said one of the steps taken was to invite all regional KONI ranks to involve the media in supporting athlete achievements and optimizing sports publications.
"The role of the media and public relations is very important in improving performance, one of which is building a positive image and conveying accurate and comprehensive information," said Tirto in an official statement from the Central.
"Furthermore, this should also lead to character building and the link between sports and nationalism, given that sports are a tool for uniting the nation," he added.
