The Indonesian National Sports Committee  of DKI  is targeting overall champion status in the National Ice Skating Championships  to be held  on April 27–29, 2026.

target is clearly to win the overall championship, and this is in line with the direction of DKI  Governor Pramono Anung towards the 2028 PON," said the General Chairman of the DKI  KONI, Hidayat Humaid.

He said that there are 120 Jakarta Ice Skating athletes who will compete in this National Championship , besides that the infrastructure currently available is not inferior to other provinces.

"Human resources, coaches and athletes are also not inferior," he said.

He asked the Indonesian Ice Skating Federation  to be the champion and this is homework.

"If this is successful and FISI competes in the 2028 PON, we must secure the overall championship, and that's a non-negotiable decision," he said.

He also asked for full support from parents so that their children could focus on training and competing.

"Leave everything to the coach. Let's oversee the realization of our children's dreams of achieving the best possible results ," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of FISI Jakarta, Anastasia, confirmed her team's readiness to win the overall championship.

According to the dai, the athletes who were sent consisted of 101 figure skating and 19 short track.

"A total of 200 athletes and our target is clear, to be the overall champion," he said.

He admitted that he was optimistic that he could defend his title in Jakarta and that his team had already won the overall championship three times.

"Please pray for us. This year's target is a fourth consecutive championship. FISI Jakarta must become a national barometer," he said

This national championship, or single event, will feature 237 athletes from seven provinces. Hundreds of athletes will come from Banten, Yogyakarta, West Java, East Java, North Sumatra, and representatives from the Indonesian FISI.
