Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung coach Djordje Jovicic assessed that his team's failure to control rebounds was the main factor in their 84-95 defeat to RANS Simba Bogor, in the 10th week of the IBL.
According to him, the failure to grab rebounds, especially offensive rebounds, gave RANS additional attacking opportunities which led to their lead throughout the match.
"They deserved to win because they played better than us," said Jovicic after the match at Bandung.
Based on match statistics, RANS made a total of 53 rebounds, while Satria only had 40 rebounds.
The home team was also too open in anticipating the opponent's post-up play, making the paint area easy to exploit.
