The Mongolian, South Korean, and Australian 3x3 national basketball teams dominated the 2026 3x3 Asia Cup until the fourth day of the tournament held at the Singapore Sports Hub.
The FIBA 3x3 website reported on Sunday that the Mongolian men's and women's teams, the South Korean women's team, and the Australian women's team topped their respective groups and automatically advanced to the quarterfinals.
The top teams are starting to show their quality as the main phase of the tournament heats up.
The Mongolian men's team advanced perfectly after defeating Taiwan 21-15 and defeating the Philippines 21-19.
Bolor-Erdene Gantsolmon was key to his team's comeback with a crucial late contribution, leading the way as a top scorer.
Mongolia's women's team also enjoyed success, sweeping the group stage with a convincing 20-6 victory over Malaysia and a 12-10 victory over New Zealand.
Khulan Onolbaatar, nicknamed "Warrior Queen," has consistently been the driving force behind her team's play.
