LavAni defeated Bhayangkara in the first match of the 2026 Proliga final

LavAni Livin' Transmedia opened up the opportunity to win the 2026 Proliga title after defeating defending champion Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi with a score of 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 25-18) in the first leg of the Grand Final at the Amongrogo Sports Hall..

The win puts LavAni 1-0 up on aggregate and they need just one more win in the second leg to secure the title.

"We played the first set quite well, but in the second set the players made a lot of their own mistakes," said LavAni Assistant Coach Erwin Rusni in an official statement after the match.

From the start of the match, LavAni immediately deployed their best team. Setter Dio Zulfikri's collaboration with spikers Taylor Sander, Georg Grozer, and Boy Arnes kept Bhayangkara Presisi under constant pressure.

Despite this, Bhayangkara, relying on Bardia Saadat and Martin Atanasov, put up a fierce fight. The score-for-point battle continued until midway through the first set before LavAni secured a 25-22 lead thanks to solid net defense.

In the second set, Bhayangkara Presisi rallied. Rendy Tamamilang and Agil Angga were effective in breaking down the opponent's defense, while Nizar Zulfikar managed to control the game's rhythm well. Bhayangkara responded with a 25-22 victory to level the score at 1-1.
