Napoli kept their hopes alive in the hunt for the Italian Serie A title after thrashing Cremonese 4-0 in the 34th week match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Naples.
Scott McTominay, Kevin De Bruyne and Alisson Santos each scored in Napoli's victory, which also featured an own goal from Cremonese player Filippo Terracciano, according to the official Serie A website.
The victory saw Napoli climb to second place in the standings with 69 points, cutting the gap to nine points from the top team, Inter Milan, who played their match in week 34.
On the other hand, for Cremonese, this defeat means they failed to add to their 28 points and are threatened with falling into the relegation zone, overtaken by Lecce (28) who just played against the 19th ranked team Verona (18).
