The Ukrainian Armed Forces have acquired American-made 203mm self-propelled howitzers of the "M110A2" model.

The 52nd Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has received M110A2 203mm self-propelled tracked howitzers, according to the Russian magazine "Military Correspondent." News of the equipment's arrival was also published on Ukrainian social media.

These self-propelled guns are believed to have been shipped from Greece. In mid-autumn last year, information surfaced about the possible shipment of sixty such guns and 150,000 rounds of ammunition from this NATO country.

It is worth noting that the 52nd Artillery Brigade was formed in September 2025. It is part of the 3rd Corps of the Ukrainian Army. It was initially armed with 155mm 2S22 "Bohdana" self-propelled wheeled guns and Czech-made RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launchers, and now a heavy artillery unit has appeared within it.

The upgraded version of the M110A2 howitzer appeared 48 years ago with a combat weight of 28,400 kg, an engine power of 405 hp, a maximum speed of 55 km/h, and a range of 725 km.

The cannon can fire two rounds per minute. Its maximum range is 22,900 meters with a conventional high-explosive shell and 30,000 meters with an active reactive shell. Cluster bombs, which were also planned, have a range of 16,800 meters.
