Persijap is grateful for the draw at Persik's home ground

Persijap Jepara coach Mario Lemos expressed gratitude for the 0-0 draw at Persik Kediri's home ground in the 26th week of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League at Brawijaya Stadium.

"We didn't perform as we usually do. But we're grateful to have picked up a point, even if it didn't meet our target of three points," Lemos said, as quoted on the official I.League website.

In this match, the host Persik actually managed to score a goal through Jose Enrique's action in the 28th minute, but the goal was later disallowed by the referee through a VAR review due to an offside earlier.

And in the 57th minute, Persik was awarded a penalty after a Persijap player handled the ball in the penalty area. However, Persijap goalkeeper Sendri Johansyah was able to parry Enrique's penalty kick with his foot.

"This result didn't meet our target, as we wanted three points, but we're still grateful. We have to work harder. Persik played well, especially at home. We have to play even better going forward because we really need the points," said the Portuguese coach.

This draw means Persijap are unbeaten in their last five matches, with them now staying outside the relegation zone, in 14th place with 22 points.
