RRQ Kazu focuses on fixing minor mistakes to face FFWS SEA 2026 Spring

RRQ Kazu is focusing on fixing minor gameplay errors to face the tough challenges in the Free Fire World Series South East Asia (FFWS SEA) 2026 Spring, which begins.

RRQ coach Kazu Adi Gustiawan (Ady) revealed that his team has been preparing since the beginning of the year by conducting various player composition experiments and strategy evaluations to improve game consistency.

"The mistakes that are always repeated are minor ones, as the gameplay we've implemented actually makes the team quite consistent, but small mistakes during finishing and closing often become crucial moments that affect the outcome of the match," he said after attending the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring Kick-Off press conference.

He further explained that the preparation process was not only carried out through technical training, but also by maintaining the physical condition and comfort of the players so that they could perform optimally during the competition.

RRQ Kazu used previous events, including the Free Fire Nusantara Series, as momentum to hone the team's readiness before appearing on the Southeast Asian regional stage.

During this process, the coaching team strives to ensure that each player can play more comfortably while maintaining their fitness during the preparation period.

Adi believes the biggest challenge his team still faces is the small mistakes that often occur in crucial situations, especially in the final stages of the match.

"We've been testing our team's readiness since the beginning of the year with player trials , focusing on improving the players' fitness, especially to prepare them for their roles and performance in the upcoming FFWS SEA," he said.

Ady added that improving the micro-game aspects is the team's primary focus ahead of the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring. Players are being asked to be more disciplined and to be highly aware of the small movements that can determine victory.

In addition to internal team preparation, RRQ Kazu also assessed the strengths of opponents from other countries. However, limited information forced the team to adapt quickly to their opponents' movement patterns and strategies during the match.

On the other hand, Adi believes the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring competition format, which features a shorter league phase and a grand final with an unlimited games system, is quite relevant for players.

He stated that this format allows players to maintain their energy throughout the tournament so they can perform optimally in the deciding phase.

The FFWS SEA 2026 Spring is an opportunity for RRQ Kazu to prove the results of evaluations from various previous tournaments, while also improving their performance record at the Southeast Asian level.

The Free Fire World Series South East Asia (FFWS SEA) 2026 Spring is organized by Garena and will bring together five Indonesian representatives with 13 teams from other Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand and Vietnam.

Five teams from Indonesia participated, namely ONIC, EVOS Divine, RRQ Kazu, Bigetron by Vitality, and Shadow Esports.

Besides competing for the regional championship title, the event also serves as a platform to secure a ticket to the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC).
