The president of the Egyptian football club Enppi, Ayman Al-Shari’i, spoke sarcastically about allocating “terrible financial rewards” to motivate his players to stop Zamalek’s winning streak in the upcoming match between them.

Enppi will face Zamalek on Monday evening at Cairo Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the second stage of the Egyptian Premier League.

Enppi Club occupies the fifth position in the title competition group standings with 35 points, while Zamalek leads the standings with 49 points.

The Egyptian league is witnessing a strong struggle this season between the top three: Zamalek, Al-Ahly and Pyramids, especially after the White team’s recent victory over Pyramids with a score of 1-0, which strengthened its chances of winning the title.

Zamalek needs to collect at least 8 points out of a possible 12, or win 3 out of 4 matches, to officially secure the title regardless of the results of their rivals.

Al-Shari’i said sarcastically in televised remarks: “You will talk about rewards? I will tell you that we have allocated very terrible rewards, and we will pay them in dollars for Enppi players to beat Zamalek.”

He added: "Enppi players are putting in a great effort this season, and they have had the opportunity to play against Al Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids consecutively, which gives them a chance to show their abilities."

He continued: "The players do not need motivation; they have enough motivation to shine against the big teams. I told them to enjoy themselves and give their best, and I support them in all circumstances."

He concluded: "There are no predictions in football. A match is just 90 minutes with its own circumstances, and that's what makes the game enjoyable."

It is worth noting that Enppi club defeated Zamalek in the first round of the league.
