Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir inaugurated Muhammad Gustri Oktaviandi as the President Director of the Sports Business Management Institute (LPUK) of the Ministry of Youth and Spor .
In the inauguration ceremony which took place simultaneously with the inauguration of a number of Primary High-Level Officials and Administrator Officials within the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Minister of Youth and Sports emphasized that the existence of LPUK as a Public Service Agency (BLU) plays an important role in maintaining and developing the assets of the Ministry of Youth and Sports properly.
"The BLU is one family, that's why we inaugurated them together. There should be no structures within structures, no organizations within organizations. The BLU is our family; there should be no distance between us. The BLU is required to report its activities; there must be benchmarks," he said.
The Minister of Youth and Sports also made core changes to the BLU structure and the objectives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports' LPUK so that they run in the same direction but remain professional in maintaining the Ministry of Youth and Sports' assets.
"With the changes at the BLU, I'm also changing its structure and the direction BLU is heading in the future. BLU will become a professionally managed organization with a b-to-b scheme so that our assets don't get neglected and become idle," he said.
The Minister of Youth and Sports hopes that with the new leadership at the BLU, the LPUK Kemenpora will be able to provide the best for the common good.
"I hope this is a mandate, there's empathy, there's concern. This is what I want to change. It's not easy, but I want to give my best. I'm ambitious for results, not position. I want us to be together, but forgive me when I have to take firm action for the benefit of the organization, for the benefit of all," he said.
