The Director General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital , Wayan Toni Supriyanto, revealed further developments in the auction of the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequency spectrum.
According to Wayan, the current auction process is marked by the opening of the account acquisition and document selection stage for interested mobile cellular network providers.
"Account retrieval and selection documents are now available today. The process is taking place simultaneously, as per our announcement," Wayan said when met.
Wayan stated that this frequency auction is open to all cellular mobile network providers, referring to the three existing industry players, namely Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, and XL Smart.
The auction for both frequency bands was conducted simultaneously to make it more efficient in terms of implementation time.
