Nutritionist Dr. Daria Savelyeva stated that anyone may feel genuinely hungry from time to time as a result of a lack of nutrients.

According to her, this condition usually occurs when the body actually needs nutrients. However, experts also diagnose false hunger, which is not directly related to the body's actual needs.

The expert points out that hunger is also strongly linked to the speed at which food leaves the stomach.

She says: "Protein slows down this process, so it needs to be present in sufficient quantities in the diet. That is, breakfast should be high in protein - low in fat, and high quality."

According to her, the amount of protein in the body directly affects feelings of satiety. So, simply abstaining from chocolate isn't an indicator of satiety. People feel full and satisfied when they follow a balanced diet.

She points out that people often hesitate because of the cost of "healthy" foods—for example, avocados, nuts, and good quality fish are more expensive than regular sausages. But one should realize that they will feel hungry again an hour after eating a cheap sandwich, and this cycle will repeat itself.

She says: "A small sandwich may seem healthy, but it will inevitably lead to overeating later. Of course, the choice is up to the individual, but physiology doesn't lie."
