This came in a joint statement by the foreign ministers of Egypt, Badr Abdel-Aty; Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan; Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman; the UAE, Abdullah bin Zayed; Jordan, Ayman Safadi; Turkey, Hakan Fidan; Pakistan, Ishaq Dar; and Indonesia, Sugiono.
On Wednesday, Ben-Gvir posted a video showing scenes of Israeli authorities dealing with activists from the "Global Steadfastness Flotilla," who were stopped while trying to sail towards the Gaza Strip.
The video documented scenes of humiliation and abuse, including forcing activists to kneel with their hands tied and to listen to the Israeli national anthem, coinciding with a provocative visit by Ben-Gvir to their place of detention, during which he incited against them and described them in offensive terms.
The scenes of abuse against the activists were met with angry international reactions, including several countries summoning their Israeli ambassadors and representatives to protest, including Spain, Canada, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal and Australia.
In response, ministers from Arab and Islamic countries condemned "in the strongest terms the appalling, humiliating and unacceptable acts committed by the extremist Israeli minister against the participants in the flotilla heading to Gaza."
They stressed that "the deliberate public humiliation practiced by Ben-Gvir against the detainees constitutes a shameful assault on human dignity and a clear violation of Israel's obligations under international law."
They also warned that "Ben-Gvir's provocative actions fuel hatred and extremism, and hinder efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution (Palestinian and Israeli)."
The ministers demanded that Ben-Gvir be held accountable for his actions, and called for concrete measures to put an end to his provocations, incitement and repeated violations, to prevent him from continuing his threats, and to ensure that such actions are not tolerated or repeated.
They stressed "the need to protect human rights, preserve the dignity of all detainees, ensure their humane treatment, and guarantee full respect for international law in the occupied Palestinian territory."
In what appeared to be an Israeli attempt to ease international pressure, the Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday the deportation of all foreign activists involved in the "Steadfastness Flotilla" with unusual speed compared to similar previous incidents.
According to the flotilla organizers, the Israeli occupation army attacked all 50 boats, carrying 428 activists from 44 countries, including Turkish citizens.
The approximately 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are living in catastrophic humanitarian conditions, exacerbated by the Israeli war that left tens of thousands dead and wounded, most of them children and women.
