Borneo FC wants to maintain its hopes of winning the Super League

Borneo FC coach Fabio Lefundes emphasized that his team wants to keep their hopes of winning the BRI Super League this season alive by defeating Malut United in week 34 at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda, Saturday.

Quoted from the official I.League website, Saturday, Lefundes said Borneo FC still has confidence in being able to become champions even though it is quite difficult.

"We should be grateful because we're coming into this competition in good shape, with a chance. The players are in good shape, and training is good. We should be very grateful and appreciative that we can also put on an extraordinary match," said Lefundes.

Borneo FC is currently in second place in the Super League standings with 76 points from 33 matches, just two points behind Persib Bandung in first place.

Pesut Etam can become champions if they succeed in defeating Malut United and elsewhere, Persib Bandung is defeated by Persijap Jepara.

Ahead of the final match of the season against Malut United, Lefundes is ambitious to get a win and a gift for the supporters present at the stadium.

"It's the last match of the season, the last match in Samarinda, so we want to give a gift to all the supporters who will be attending. And then we'll see what happens in the other matches," said Lefundes.

"I'm very proud of what we've done so far, because I think Borneo FC and the other teams have made this competition even better," he said.
