Como secured Champions League qualification after beating Cremonese 4-1

Como 1907 secured their Champions League qualification for next season after defeating Cremonese 4-1 in the final week of the 2025/26 Serie A season at the Stadio Giovanni Zini on Monday.

Lucas Da Cunha scored twice for Como, with Jesus Rodriguez and Anastasios Douvikas also scoring. Federico Bonazzoli scored a consolation for Cremonese.

This victory was made even more perfect after news of AC Milan's defeat at the San Siro confirmed Como's top-four finish.

Meanwhile, Cremonese, strengthened by Indonesian National Team goalkeeper Emil Audero, must be willing to be relegated to Serie B next season, as reported on the official Legaserie A website.

Both teams come into the match under immense pressure as a win may not be enough to achieve their respective targets.

Como began to threaten through Assane Diao's header, which went wide. However, the visitors' pressure finally paid off in the 36th minute.

Diao cut in from the left and delivered a cross that Emil Audero parried away in anticipation of Tasos Douvikas' shot. The rebound from Giuseppe Pezzella's poor clearance fell to Jesus Rodriguez, who easily slotted home Como's opener.
