China and 26 African countries jointly published an action plan in Beijing on Monday intended to accelerate their digital cooperation.
This initiative will strengthen partnerships in digital policy, infrastructure, digital transformation innovation, security and training of at least 1,000 professionals over the next three years.
In recent years, China has entered into digital cooperation agreements with many African governments, which has improved connectivity between Africa and key regions of Europe, Asia and the Americas through the deployment of several submarine cables by companies over more than 60,000 kilometers.
These companies have played a vital role in the deployment of high-speed fiber optic networks, 4G/5G mobile communication systems, and satellite services.
