Dutch national team full-back Denzel Dumfries emphasized that his team has the ambition to end their wait for the 2026 World Cup title.
Quoted from the official FIFA website, Sunday, Dumfries' confidence comes from the mental strength of the national team that has been forged as they prepare to face serious challenges.
The Inter Milan player said their target was to become champions because he believed they were better than they were four years ago, and De Oranje were ready to show that.
"Of course, we have only one goal: to become world champions. We're in this competition to win, and we have the players to do that," Dumfries explained.
"But that's something we have to show from game to game. Of course, it won't be easy, but we'll do everything we can, and I believe in that," he continued.
