German Cup schedule: Bayern aim to end the season with two titles

The German Cup final is scheduled to take place on Saturday evening local time, and Bayern Munich is aiming to end the season with two titles.

Bayern Munich will face VfB Stuttgart in the German Cup final at the Olympiastadion Stadium, Berlin, Sunday (24/5/2026) at 01.00 WIB, according to DFB Pokal records.

After successfully winning the German League title this season, Bayern Munich certainly wants to add two more trophies to their trophy haul by winning the German Cup.

Furthermore, winning the German Cup could certainly make up for their failure to reach the Champions League final after being eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain.

Should they secure the German Cup, Bayern Munich would further cement their position as the most successful team in the tournament with 21 titles.

On the other hand, VfB Stuttgart certainly won't be sitting idle and wants to end this season by winning the German Cup and maintaining their status as defending champions.

Last season, VfB Stuttgart won the German Cup after defeating Arminia Bielefeld 4-2.

This season's title could also see VfB Stuttgart add to their German Cup collection to five, having previously won it in 1954, 1958, 1997 and 2025.

Ahead of the two teams' meeting, Bayern Munich had two opportunities to meet VfB Stuttgart in the 1986 and 2013 editions, both of which they managed to win.
