Lion Parcel a logistics services company in Indonesia, and AstraPay are strengthening the digitalization of logistics agent transactions through the implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard to improve service efficiency and expand financial inclusion.
"We have established a strategic partnership with AstraPay to accelerate the digitalization of transactions across our agent partner network through the implementation of QRIS payments," said Lion Parcel Chief Retail Officer Febri Andika in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He said the collaboration not only provides alternative digital payment methods but also focuses on operational transformation at the agent level as the frontline of logistics services.
According to him, the initiative aligns with the government's efforts to encourage the adoption of digital transactions in the MSME sector as a key pillar of the national economy.
"As part of this collaboration, Lion Parcel and AstraPay are also presenting various initiatives to increase education and digital transaction penetration," he said.
He mentioned that one form of collaboration is "Lion Parcel Agent Jagoan AstraPay" as a performance-based appreciation program that runs for six months to encourage Lion Parcel agent partners to increase the use of digital transactions in their daily transaction activities with customers.
"This program has reached hundreds of Lion Parcel agent partners across Indonesia, with 36 top agents receiving awards to support their business development," he said.
He explained that the collaboration was a strategic step to strengthen the digital service ecosystem within the agent network by providing digital payments while simultaneously encouraging a transformation in transaction behavior to improve efficiency and service quality.
AstraPay's QRIS enables faster, safer, and more integrated payment processes, helping agent partners improve operational efficiency while providing a better service experience for customers.
Along with its implementation, Febri added, the performance of agent partners participating in the program showed a positive trend.
There was an increase in transaction activity and the number of customers which resulted in an increase in agent partner income of more than 10 percent.
"This achievement demonstrates that integrating logistics services with digital payment systems can have a direct impact on the business growth of our agent partners. Moving forward, we will continue to develop this collaboration to expand the benefits for the ecosystem," said Febri.
