Senior goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has extended his contract with German League club Bayern Munich by one year, or until 2027.
Quoted from the club's official website on Saturday, Neuer said he was taking his time before deciding to extend his service with Bayern Munich.
"Everything is right here: with this team, we can beat anyone; I'm happy to go to Säbener Straße every day and I'm going to perform at my best," said Neuer.
"In our goalkeeping team, we stick together and strive to continually improve, continually push each other, and prepare ourselves as best as possible for matches," he said.
Besides Neuer, Bayern Munich also extended the contract of another goalkeeper, namely Sven Ulreich, for a period of one year or until 2027.
Ulreich admitted that he was very happy with this decision because Bayern Munich is a club that he truly loves, so he did not miss this opportunity.
"We have a fantastic squad with a brilliant coaching team, and every day is a lot of fun, especially for our goalkeeping team," said Ulreich.
"It's been amazing to see how things continue to develop, and I'm sure we'll have the chance to win it all again next season," he said.
Furthermore, these two goalkeepers will still be Bayern Munich's mainstay in the goalkeeping sector, along with Jonas Urbig in the third position.
