Meta smart glasses add gesture writing support

Ray-Ban's flagship Meta Display smart glasses, featuring a screen overlay, have reportedly received a major update that includes the addition of support for gesture writing.

According to GSM Arena, the Neural Handwriting feature can be used on iOS and Android devices as well as Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and message notifications on mobile phones to search for contacts, send, and reply to messages.

To be able to use this feature, owners of Ray-Ban Display smart glasses must wear the Neural Band accessory included in the sales package of the glasses for US$800.

With the support of advanced sEMG technology, the bracelet is able to recognize the user's finger movements when "writing" certain letters on surfaces such as tables, palms, or thighs.
