Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said teachers can play a role as role models of digital literacy for their students and ultimately create quality digital talent.
This was conveyed by Meutya during the PP TUNAS Implementation Facilitation activity at Muhammadiyah 3 Depok Middle School, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Friday, which took place online.
"I believe that teachers can be role models and digital literacy heroes for their students. Together, we will create a generation of TUNAS that is smart, creative, resilient, and ready to compete in the digital era," said Meutya.
In order to protect the younger generation in the digital space, the Government has issued regulations in the form of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of Electronic System Implementation in Child Protection.
In addition to emphasizing the platform's responsibility to provide a safe space, the regulation also explains that digital literacy is the next step that must be taken to provide children with the right understanding so they can be wise in the digital space.
