PP FPTI sent 13 athletes to take part in the Wujiang World Climbing Series



  The Central Board of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation  sent 13 athletes to take part in the Wujiang World Climbing Series organized by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) in China on May 8-10.

The thirteen athletes departed on Tuesday and will compete in two events in the opening series of the 2026 competition season: speed and lead.

"As coaches, our goal is for athletes to climb to their maximum potential without making mistakes," said Pandu Asmoro, coach of the Indonesian speed climbing team, Galar, before departing for China at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

Indonesia is fielding five male and four female athletes in the speed event. The lead event will feature two male and two female athletes each.

The speed event will be a hot one with super tight competition after Chinese men's athlete Zhao Yicheng broke the world record with a time of 4.586 seconds.
