PSBS Biak admitted that physical factors were a problem when they were defeated by Persebaya

PSBS Biak caretaker coach Kahudi Wahyu Widodo admitted his team lacked a negative transition, influenced by the players' physical condition, after losing 4-0 to Persebaya Surabaya in the 31st week of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League.

"Tactically, we had problems with negative transitions, and that was partly due to physical factors. The physical quality of Persebaya's players was indeed superior to ours," Kahudi said during a post-match press conference at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT) in Surabaya.

However, he assessed that the players still showed high fighting spirit amidst the situation currently facing the team nicknamed the Pacific Storm.

According to him, his team's performance deserved appreciation because they remained disciplined and tried to defend the goal until the final whistle was blown.

"I'd like to thank my players. Everyone knew what our situation was, but they kept fighting until the very end," he said.

On the other hand, Kahudi revealed that strategic changes were made in the second half, particularly in the three-defender formation and instructions to the wingers to apply pressure on the opposing defenders.
