Danish coach Jess Torup of Al Ahly expressed his delight at his team's 3-0 victory over rivals Zamalek on Friday, in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League championship group
Torop said in a press conference after the match that he knows the extent of the historical rivalry with Zamalek and the importance of this match for the fans.
The Danish coach added that he thanks Al Ahly fans for their full support despite their extreme anger at the loss in the last match against Pyramids by three goals to nil
Torop praised all the players in the team, especially Hussein El Shahat, who scored a goal against Zamalek, and Moroccan Ashraf Bencharki, who scored two goals and made another, stressing that his team deserved to win against Zamalek with a clean three-goal victory.
Zamalek leads the championship group with 50 points, three points ahead of Pyramids in second place, and six points ahead of Al-Ahly in third place.
