SVP Head of Enterprise Security Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) Yohanes Glen said that to build cyber resilience in a company today, a "strategic cyber defense partnership" solution is more appropriate than purchasing a cyber security solution that is outright.
A "strategic cyber defense partnership" solution means that the partner a company engages as a cybersecurity service provider for its system doesn't just stop at providing products but also provides ongoing services ranging from detecting cybersecurity vulnerabilities to fixing vulnerabilities if found.
"So what's needed is a relationship between sellers and buyers as a Strategic Cyber Defense Partnership . This means more than just one-stop shopping after purchasing a product. It also includes service ," Glen said during a discussion on cyber resilience for businesses held by the Indonesian Institute of Professional Professionals (IOH) in Jakarta on Monday.
In the latest official report of the IOH "Strategic Framework for Business-Driven Cyber Resilience", it was revealed that the average loss resulting from each data leak due to a cyber attack in Indonesia is estimated to reach Rp15 billion.
