Strengthening the digital economy of MSMEs, MDI Ventures highlights AI and venture capital

MDI Ventures, a venture capital firm part of PT Telkom Indonesia  Tbk, has released a white paper highlighting how aspects of venture capital, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital infrastructure can be combined to unlock the digital economic growth phase for 65 million Indonesian MSMEs.

The report, titled " Catalyzing Digital Resilience and Sustainable Growth: Advancing Inclusive Innovation and AI-Driven Impact Across Indonesia's Digital Economy, " states that MSMEs contribute 60.5 percent to gross domestic product (GDP) by absorbing 96.5 percent of the national workforce.

" Our latest white paper reflects MDI Ventures' role as an enabler that connects innovation with real needs in society," said MDI Ventures Director Roby Roediyanto in a written statement.
He explained that the white paper focuses on how investment can connect financial inclusion, AI readiness, and cyber resilience to create measurable impact.

The current challenge, he said, is also to ensure that investment can support the digitalization of MSMEs so they become more relevant and develop as a source of inclusive economic growth.

The white paper also serves as MDI Ventures' effort to clarify the intersection between innovation, market needs, and policy direction for founders , investors, Telkom Group entities, the BUMN ecosystem, and regulators.
