The Indonesian Navy held combat exercises with the Pakistan Navy

 


  The Indonesian Navy held joint combat exercises with the Pakistan Navy to strengthen maritime defenses and strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In a press release from TNI Headquarters broadcast on Monday, it was explained that the activity took place in the waters of Jakarta, Java Sea.

The Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Headquarters Information Center (Kapuspen), Brigadier General Muhammad Nas, when confirmed  said that during the exercise, Indonesia and Pakistan deployed their best naval main equipment systems.

"The Indonesian Navy deployed the KRI Bung Karno-369, KRI Wiratno-379, and the Panther HS-1311 helicopter. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Navy deployed a fleet consisting of the PNS TAIMUR, PNS ASLAT, and the PNSS HANGOR submarine," said Muhammad Nas.

Nas continued that the two countries carried out various training materials, such as tactical maneuvering exercises , photo exercises  and search and rescue exercises (SAREX) which simulated searching for and rescuing victims at sea.

He said the training was carried out with attention to certain standards to ensure the safety and security of soldiers and military equipment.

The exercise, he said, was a success. Nas hopes the exercise will strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Pakistan and further hone the Indonesian Navy's combat capabilities.

For your information, the joint training event was the highlight of the Pakistan Navy's visit to Indonesia, which began on May 18, 2026.

The courtesy call lasted five days. During this time, the Pakistan Navy conducted various activities, including visits to several high-ranking military officials, a friendly sports match, a diplomatic reception, a city tour , and an open ship .
