The Ministry of Communication and Digital emphasized that all electronic system providers operating in Indonesia are required to comply with Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning Governance of Electronic System Implementation in Child Protection.
Nanci Laura Sitinjak, Senior Policy Analyst at the Directorate General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology, stated that the Government is not only enforcing the Tunas PP on the initial eight platforms (X, Bigo Live, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Roblox) but also on all PSEs, both private and public PSEs in Indonesia.
"As we move forward, we're certainly pushing beyond the initial eight platforms. We're pushing across all E-commerce platforms, both private and public," Nanci said during a public discussion titled "Beyond Regulation: The Future of Child Protection in the Digital Space" held in Jakarta on Wednesday.
