The Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft undocked from the space station combination

The Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft, tasked with transporting supplies for China's space station, undocked from the station combination  and transitioned to independent flight, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).

The cargo spacecraft will undergo a controlled re-entry at the appropriate time. During the process, a small amount of debris that survived the ablation process will fall into designated safe waters, the CMSA said.

Tianzhou-9 was launched on July 15, 2025, from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in Hainan, a southern Chinese island province.

The cargo spacecraft then docked with the orbiting Tiangong space station. The spacecraft carried supplies, including disposable equipment for the astronauts during their stay in orbit, propellant, and application experiment equipment.
