Ana/Trias became runners-up last year and became champions in Australia

Indonesian women's doubles pair Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Meilysa Trias Puspitasari have reaffirmed their determination to improve their performance at the 2026 Australian Open after finishing as runners-up last season.

Ana/Trias maintained their chances after advancing to the quarterfinals after defeating Polina Buhrova/Yevheniia Kantemyr 21-9, 21-12 in the round of 16 at Quaycentre, Olympic Boulevard, Sydney, Thursday.

"This year, I want to upgrade to become champions," said Ana in an official PBSI statement after the match.

In 2025, Ana/Trias had to settle for runner-up after being defeated by Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum in a tight final match 21-18, 19-21, 21-23.

A straight-game victory over Buhrova/Kantemyr demonstrated Ana/Trias' readiness to face the Ukrainian pair.

Unlike their first meeting at the All England when they had to win through a tight rubber game 19-21, 21-15, 21-19, this time Ana/Trias controlled the match from the start.

"Today, we're definitely preparing more for our playing style, from a strategic perspective, to studying videos of our opponents from the All England match," Ana said.
