Midfielder Carlos Franca is confirmed to be leaving BRI Super League club Persijap Jepara after both parties agreed not to continue their collaboration.
According to the club's official release received in Jakarta on Thursday, this decision was made through open communication and mutual respect.
Persijap Jepara management expressed its appreciation for Carlos Franca's commitment, hard work, and contributions while playing for Laskar Kalinyamat, while wishing him success in his future career.
After confirming that he would not be wearing the Persijap Jepara uniform in the 2026/2027 season, Carlos Franca expressed his gratitude for having had the opportunity to play for Laskar Kalinyamat.
"My family and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the people of Indonesia, especially the people of Jepara, who have welcomed us so warmly from day one. We feel right at home," said Franca.
The Brazilian player also paid tribute to all elements of the club, starting from the management, coach Mario Lemos and staff, players, officials, and the Persijap Jepara senior team.
Franca continued, saying that she was very grateful to have met many good people while playing for Persijap Jepara and that they helped her while she was in Indonesia.
"I'll be playing in the Champions League qualifying rounds, so I'm happier because I'll be continuing my career in another country, so I won't have to face Persijap on the pitch. Thank you to the fans for their incredible support," Franca said.
After one season as part of the Laskar Kalinyamat family, Carlos Franca closed his journey by leaving a meaningful contribution, both on and off the field.
During his time in the BRI Super League in the 2025/26 season, the Brazilian left winger consistently performed, recording 10 goals, three assists , and accumulating more than 2,430 minutes of playing time.
